Where is April going??????????????

Its already the 15th of April and the month is half gone, who has the last 14 days???

So i'm trying to rack my little brain cells and think what has passed since i last blogged. well the wedding and the pictures are still at the forefront, such a lovely day that you cant just forget about it in a hurry. i have found an album in my stash of crafting goodies that will be a perfect little keepsake so i shall start working on that soon, I've managed to get some really nice pictures so with a little bit of cropping and editing i think i will have a lovely album to give as a special gift to my brother and sister in law.

The boys have been home from school but i have been at work on and off so once again i have done boo diddly squat with my little men. They have contented themselves mostly with bouncing on the trampoline that hubby rebuilt... the springs are a bit rusty where they had been hiding in a black bin liner, but it is working well, i just need to get a cover to go over the top of the springs as i am worried they will bounce and end up straddling a spring which makes me wince just writing it. The weather wasn't that brilliant to do much at all, so they were quite happy to stay home and just chill really.

We had a lovely Easter, we had Mr and Mrs B and Amy over on Easter Saturday for a get together and to feast on my homemade chicken curry, and as always it was a super evening. I love how we can just pick up and catch up with the goings on as easy as anything, we have been so grateful for their love and friendship over the last ahem 26 years!!! where did that time go!!!!

Mrs B of woolly words  is now responsible for me dusting off my knitting needles. I read her blog with relish when she posts because its always funny and well written and also because i' m nosy and like to know what she is up to and to be honest..she doesn't stop!!! She gardens, she knits. she works, she goes to workout classes, she supports Amy in her Aerobics, she is always busy doing something.

So i am in the process of making a witch for Halloween closely followed by a reindeer for Christmas. i am giving myself plenty of time which is just as well how fast the months are flying by, whether or not i actually achieve these goals only time will tell... i had the notion of giving handmade gifts this Christmas for family and friends. Money seems to be an issue for many of us, so i had the idea that i would make lots of cards throughout the year , for all types of occasions and then present a little bundle of them maybe with some postage stamps as a gift. to buy say 10 decent handcrafted cards would probably set you back about £35, plus a book of 12 stamps, so i thought it would be useful and continues the spirit of giving and receiving.

I've got to get my ass back down the Gym tomorrow i have done nothing for the 2 weeks the boys have been home. It has been nice walking without my legs feeling like lead, but all that is going to change once i go  back.... but it most definitely has to be done.

Robbie our dog celebrated his 3rd birthday at the beginning of April so he had a few pressies to open. i didn't buy him balloons especially you  understand even though he is very much worth it... they were left over from youngest son's birthday.

Well that's all for now as my eyes are starting to droop and i am making loads of typing errors. all i keep seeing is lots of red squiggles under whatever i am typing.

  1. Mrs N, you flatter me! Thanks for a lovely evening- we always say that we leave it too long before we have a good catch up session, so we need to sort out another one!! Looking forward to seeing pictures of the witch, I'm sure your knitting skills are way past mine even though you've only just picked up your needles again! So, come on, blow your own trumpet and show us more of your advanced crafting skills!! xxx
