two weeks since i last posted ...shocking
Well I've said it many times before and I'm a gonna say it again...doesn't time fly!!
So have i been up to much since i last blogged..well yes and no and none of it is very exciting.
Geraldine the witch has got a buddy now, she has her little cat called Emily. I almost think it sounds like a child's book and did think about writing a little story about the adventures of Geraldine and Emily... another project for another day to do
.
I have exciting news, in the bird box we have babies, baby blue tits to be precise. We love listening to them chirping every time mum and dad blue tit pop in and out which the poor little birdies do constantly to feed them. we are having to watch the box as Minnie the Minx had got on top of it last week and was trying to get her paw inside the bird hole. We have got a water spray on the side in the conservatory and after being squibbed with it a few times, we only have to yell her name and she runs away from the box, so she has associated being soaked if she dares go near the box.
My sister in law has decided that as a present to my parents for helping out with their wedding that she will decorate their bedroom while they are away for a week, so it has been all hands on deck to get this idea into reality, so i have spent the few days before working the weekend, stripping wall paper and cleaning 30 years worth of dust and clutter and cards..birthday, Christmas, sympathy, you name it ..my mother has saved them all!!!! i have also had to come up with a saying or several for her to chose from to go above the new bed, as it would seem my literary talents are lying there waiting to be freed.
The boys have been making the most of the weather and the trampoline, which although is a wonderful source of entertainment for them it also leads to tears and tantrums within moments of hysterical laughter.
Well middle son starts his sats tomorrow and then he will be able to relax for the final term. They have had 10 weeks of intense lessons and homework every night so i really hope that his hard work pays off this week and that they all do well .
I'm rereading all the Harry Potter books again, it must be the 4th time that I've re read them all, i never get tired of them. i take one to work over the weekend and read it while on my break, i'm on the order of the phoenix now. After ti have completed the set i will try and get through some of the other titles i have up in the loft. Although having cleared out what seemed like a library in my parents bedroom, i'm sure that i may find something among all of those.
I have watched a couple of films this week, old ones out of the collection that we have, we watched the Pirates of the Caribbean and then the last one on stranger tides. The only trouble is that it reminds us of Disney Paris and the ride there, so we are now saving to go back as we have been going quite regularly over the last 5 years. We have also watched American Pie 1 and 2, so oldest son wants to go and live the life in America!!!
