A long week...

well this week has been very long and very emotional. My lovely Father in law passed away Wednesday night , he was a wonderful positive man, and will be so very missed as we come to terms with the fact that he isn't going to be popping in to see us anymore, as they say our loss is indeed heavens gain, heaven is doing very well with my family.

I am in the middle of organizing and designing his order of service. its lovely to be asked to make this tribute to him... mum in law has also asked if i will do a reading or something as well.... so i have been writing a poem to read...and finally finished it so at least i'm sort of organised.

Half term is over and as is the normal i have done nothing with the boys.. i suppose you could at least say i'm consistent....

Its my middle sons birthday a week today and we have settled on a sleepover for him... it will be our first one so i'm busy searching the net for games and things to occupy them... we aren't having many the total will be 5... one thing i love about the internet is all the fantastic ideas that people share.
2 games we are definitely having are flapping fish.. fish cut out of newspapers and something to fan them with ie; a magazine..obviously the winner is the one that gets their fish over the finish line first.
The second game which i think will be a great success is pass the charity bag... am going to fill it with items of weird and old clothing..( i'm thinking a bra will be a good addition to terrorize a group of 10/11 years olds mwah ha ha!!!) and when the music stops the holder of the bag has to pull out an item of clothing and wear it .
i thought that the winners will get to choose some wrapped up food items which they will  have as a midnight feast bonus.

Hubby bought me some lovely red roses and a bottle of fizz on Friday.... he waited til the prices of flowers returned to normal ..gotta watch the pennies these days :)
